Driving toward the Mural
Whether you came to Belton Lake to fish, swim, camp, or visit family we know that you noticed our mural. It's hard not to notice the gigantic painting trailing 800 feet in one direction and 500 in the other. Driving toward the dam on F.M. 2271, like we are now, you can see two different types of pictures. The east side is a montage of Bell County, past and present. The west side is a balloon race boasting balloons of all sizes and designs. You might be thinking that this environmental painting, the first of its kind in Texas, is a great idea. We think so too! We're pretty proud of the way our wall looks! We were not always as proud of the art work found on this retaining wall.
