Ag & Earth Memorandum of Agreement

Members of the Ag&Earth Expo Planning Committee will:

Provide supplies for classroom activities, either through direct donation or through reimbursement upon documentation of receipts

Provide funding for classroom transportation upon receipt of documentation
Authorize continuing education units for participating instructors
Assist with student mentoring and serve as professional resources to the classroom either electronically or in person

The participating school: __________________________________ will:

Assist and support in local and state publicity on classroom projects
Provide support for individual teacher training – 15 hours minimum
Assist and support with electronic components of classroom projects, i.e. use of computers, network support and Internet and Email usage when appropriate by the students
Receive as inventory any supplies/materials purchased from the activities

The participating classroom teacher __________________________ will:

Receive a minimum of 20 hours of continuing education appropriate to his/her interests and to support his/her selected classroom project(s)
Develop a curriculum module (6-weeks unit) based on resources and training
Receive electronic publication of developed and accumulated elementary-level curriculum on science, agricultural learning and safety, farm health, natural resource conservation and management and environmental education. This material will be provided on a CD for use in the classroom independent of Internet connectivity.
Participate in evaluation process (pre-, post- and special components) associated with the activities
Assist students in the development and set-up of multi-media display(s) on April 30, 2001 for Ag&Earth Expo 2001 to be held on May 1^st, 2^nd , and 3^rd, 2001.
