The Field Patrol Division of the Bell County Sheriff's
Office consists of 1 Lieutenant, 3 Sergeants, and 18 Patrol
Officers. Their responsibilities include enforcing the State and
Federal Laws; enforcing the ordinances of Bell County; and patrolling of
Bell County (which consists of 1200 square miles).

The initial contacts with the public
(and/or complainants) are the Field Patrol Deputies. They take
reports, make arrests and assist with the investigations of cases.
The Field Patrol Deputies handle the following types of cases:
misdemeanors, burglaries, robberies, thefts, sexual assaults, domestic
violence, child abuse, suspicious deaths, homicides, and forgeries.

The Field Patrol Deputies work with other
law enforcement agencies (Local, State, and Federal to include Military
Authorities) to protect and service the citizens of Bell County in an
efficient and professional manner.

Environmental Officer
|
The Bell County Environmental Office is
responsible for responding to complaints of any environmental issue, to
include investigating illegal dumping calls (refuge or tires) or hazardous
material issues. This Officer also enforces the Local and State laws
pertaining to livestock.
